Every wonder what color can do for you? How it can empower, strengthen, and heal?

I haven’t shared a blog in awhile, I’ve been distracted by life and lack of liberty.
So I decided to post something fun and helpful. Several weeks ago I taught a workshop, HueRu? Using the enneagram and color intentionally. The workshop touched on using color personally and professionally and how color can assist in being more productive and effective professionally and personally.
Every day I teach people how color makes a difference. I help people by revealing their power colors. Those colors that look their best on them as well as are the most intuitive for them. My system is called ebhues™. Ebhues™ is a color analysis system rooted in science. I use ebhues™ to create elea blake cosmetics ® a full line of color theory cosmetics.
My enneagram enthusiasm became known and I was asked to give an overview of the enneagram and offer some tips on how the enneagram can be used in the workplace. As a color expert I chose to talk about the different enneagram points of identification and how the use of color can be beneficial for each type.
Let me reiterate that I am not an enneagram expert. I also want to share that while not impossible it can be difficult to get a handle on one's enneagram point of identification in a three hour workshop while simultaneously going through each point of identification. Knowing this I had the team take an online test ahead of time and then suggested that they review the results deeper. I also advised that online tests are not always accurate and the enneagram is a journey of self discovery, which I wholeheartedly believe.
For those that are not familiar with the enneagram it is a nine point typology which describes people in terms of nine types, each with their own motivations, fears, and internal dynamics. I am a fan of the enneagram because it helps you understand how you think, feel, and act. I prefer the book The wisdom of the enneagram by Riso and Hudson as a resource. There is a simple test in the beginning of the book and then insightful sections for each point of identification to clarify findings.
I made everyone in my immediate family explore and learn their point of identification so that we could all understand and love each other better. I also have two sets of newlyweds and only wish I knew of this before Doug and I got married, I think it would have been extremely helpful.
The tips here can be used in the workplace and at home. I would strongly suggest that each person have a space that is their sanctuary even if it is a small nook.
I am not going to go into descriptions of the types here. That’s for you to explore on your own. This is meat and potatoes (vegan options apply) of how color can assist. The colors suggested are to be used for your person and/or personal space. These can be static as in paint or dynamic as in changing your color schemes by adding accents for wardrobe or interiors. Even something as simple as a throw pillow or a vase of flowers, a notebook that you glance over to or meditate over using the color as the focal point. Artwork can be swapped out in your office space any method of adding the color needed for the time needed.
So here are the nuts and bolts of what I shared. Agree or disagree, either way let me know. In this blog I’ll share these basics and I’ll follow up with more thoughts on the next.
For reference this is how color is used intuitively and how we use color with the ebhues™ personal color system.

One - The Reformer
Use Purple to inspire creative thinking - there are often many ways to seek perfection not just one.
Use Blue Green to calm the inner storm.
White pops of purity, open mindedness, and new beginnings - With every ending there is a beginning.

TWO: The Befriender
Blue and Purple Blue to inspire trust and intuition for what is theirs to do or not to do.
Red and Magenta to use your power to ask for help when you need it.

THREE: The Achiever
Pinks. YOU are loved for who you are. Soften all that determination with softer versions of red and magenta to create warmth and acceptance, approachability.
Blue and white to focus on trust and being pure of mind.

Four: The Individualist
To balance melancholy orange, yellow, and green yellow.
Yellow is particularly significant as it is a positive and energetic color and in times of deep introspection can be instrumental in lifting spirits and pulling one's mind into the present.

FIVE: The Investigator
Orange, Yellow, and Green Yellow - Orange for strength to spend more energy than what they mentally banked. Yellow for energy and optimism they can do so much more than their minds tell them. Green Yellow for determination to hit any goal they have.

Six: The Loyal Skeptic
Blue to create an atmosphere of trust for themselves.
Blue-Green to calm the inner storm.
Purple Blue for it’s intuitive powers
Orange and Red for Strength and Power - you got this!

Color isn't just color. Color has purpose and can be used intentionally. The next time you dress or create a space in your home or office think about your intention for the day, moment, or space.
